본 연구는 아파트 주거의 외부공간구성과 조형을 중심으로 하고 문헌 및 현지조사에 의한 사례분석을 통하여 아파트 배치에 관한 제요소를 파악하며 건물의 배치형태및 배치방법에 대한 특성있고 다양한 배치기법을 모색하여 보다 합리적인 배치계획의 기준을 제시하고 이를 활용하여 변화하는 외부공간을 형성하는데 주안을 두었다.
