We wonder whether the duality exists in the process of making
the things and in the human nature. The duality appeaㄱs in
architecture as well as in art. The first trend of art based on
the duality was Mannerism in 16th century.
The essence of Mannerism can be found in Paradox very well which
sublimates the duality and has the character of muturial betrayal
and supplement. It was Michelangelo that used the most paradoxical
representation among the mannerist architects. Today's Post
Modern architecture should be characterized by Mannerism in
which has complexity, contradiction and the hybrid form.
