In the history of architecture, the concept of 'style' which was derived from the history of art, has been used as a categorical terminology of the historical description, and is still applied on the view of the theory of art as it is. The purpose of this study is to present the concept of 'architectural style' which is based on the architectural essence by comparing the concept of style of architecture with that of art.
