This study aims at investigating for the lateral buckling
strength of stainless steel H-section beams.
The lateral buckling strength is tested using concenterated
load on the upper flange of span center experimently.
Concenterated load, uniform load and moment gradient are
considered in numerical analysis. Numerical analysis results
are compared with test results in discussion. And the buckling
strength of the stainless steel is compared with that of mild
steel members which is SW41 class. Finally the application of
current AIK(Architectural Institute of Korea) code is discussed
on stainless steel H-section beams and buckling curves are
suggested in various loading conditions.
