This study aims to find out how the conversion of
domestic fuel have played a significant role in
changing the dwelling space in the process of
modernization in order to clarify its intrinsic
problems and at the same time predict the future
direction of our urban housing.
To begin with,the study suggests that there is a strong
relationship between the change in dwelling space and
the conversion of domestic fuel. In so doing,the study
deals with the spatial organization of dwelling, the
relationships between living pattern and space and the
transformation of the dwelling space in terms of the
conversion of domestic fuel. The sujects of investigation
were limited to the houses located in Seoul area.
