In order to investigate the utility and economical efficiency
of the Finite Strip Method, the result of analysis is compared
with exact solution by Timoshenko, solution by the Finite Element
Method and a semianalytic solution for Rectangular plate bending.
Finally we can find that this solution is very similiar to
exact-solution. And when the plate was stiffened according to
center nodal line with longitudinal stiffening beam element, it
is found that the difference of moment and deflection is
occurred by theoritical stiffening ways. Extra-ordinary, the
finite strip method is good for structural analysis with
boundary condition to a simple dimension and figure.
