Since 1961 A.G. Davenport first estimated dynamic alongwind
response of structure using his own developed velocity spectrum
based on the random vibration theory, many analytical and
approximated methods based on the wind tunnel experiment have
been developed. In this paper, fluctuating alongwind load is
assumed as Gaussian random process and simulated it ty Monte
Carlo method in the time domain using alongwind load spectrum
obtained by Kareem. Then using this simulated fluctuating wind
load rms displacement was calculated. And compared it with the
analytic rms displacement using fluctuating wind velocity
spectrum obrained by Davenport and Simiu. And it was also compared
with the Solari's reduced equivalented spectrum method.
