The acceleration performance is influenced by the change of engine power and resistance which is affected by the ambient temperature and pressure. So the measured data should be corrected by the proper correction method according to the ambient conditions. While alike other carmakers our company is using our own correction method, the correction error is not small enough to be tolerated In this paper we will analyze the main cause of correction error and represent the new correction method
We introduced the new correction method, which corrects the engine power and driving resistance to according the ambient condition. The accuracy of new correction method was proved by the chassis-dynamo test. We measured the intake temperature of surge tank and the duration from 60kph to 100kph at 4th gear ratio at different temperature and constant pressure condition. The corrected values by the new correction method were within 3% of error.
