The primary purpose of this paper is to describe the grammatical forms of Gyeongbuk dialect in Hyeon, Jin-geon's novels and the relation the Gyeongbuk dialect in Hyeon, Jin-geon's novels between this regional dialect of nowaday,
We can fInd out the grammatical forms of Gyeongbuk dialect in Hyeon, Jin-geon's novels, There are not so much the grammatical forms of Gyeongbuk dialect in his novels. We can find out endings and postpositions of Gyeongbuk dialect in these novels. There are the interrogative final-endings such as '-ga', '-go', '-na', '-no', '-ngo', '-nga', '-lkko', '-lkka', '-ngio' and the declarative final-endings such as '-guma', '-numa', '-deoma' and the imperative final-endings such as '-geora', '-go' in Hyeon, Jin-geon's novels. And there are the conjunctive endings such as '-e gajigo', '-euj1a' in his novels. The interrogative final-ending '-ngyo' of Gyeongbuk dialect '-ngio' is formed the contraction of '-ngio' in Hyeon, Jin-geon's novel of 1920's.
The interrogative final-endings such as '-go', '-no', '-ngo', '-lkko' are distributed complementary with an interrogative pronoun, but the '-ga', '-na', '-nga', '-lkka' are not distributed complementary with an interrogative pronoun. These interrogative final-endings and the declarative final-endings such as '-guma', '-numa', 'deoma' are widely used in Gyeongbuk dialect of nowaday, And the imperative final-endings such as '-geora', '-go' and the conjunctive endings such as '-egajigo', '-eulla' are widely used also in Gyeongbuk dialect. The conjunctive ending '-egajigo' in Hyeon, Jin-geon's novels is formed by the grammaticalization of verb 'gajida'. The '-egajigo' and '-ega' is used as a conjunctive ending in Gyeongbuk dialect of nowaday. The degree of grammaticalization of the '-ega' is a little above than that of the '-egajigo' in these regional dialect.
We can find out the postpositions such as '-i', '-eullo', '-maero', '-kkeojeong', '-bodam', '-kang' in Hyeon, Jin-geon's novels. The postposition '-j' is distributed after the vowel and the '-ga' is distributed after the consonant in Jungbu dialect. But that complement distribution of the '-j' and '-ga' not carry out in Gyeongbuk dialect. The postposition '-eullo', '-maero', '-kkeojeong', '-bodam', '-kang' of Gyeongbuk dialect confront each other the '-eui'. '-gachi', '-kkaji'. '-boda', '-wa' in jungbu dialect of nowaday. The verb 'kada' that is widely used in Hyeon, Jin-geon's novels and Gyeongbuk dialect of nowaday is formed by the contraction of the '-go hada'. (Daegu University)
