The author looked into a mythical character in many terms making 『Suijeon』 an object of study in which 'body-converting phase' appears; analyzed it, extracted a mythical character, and then made clear the characteristics of culture and a world view which made the mythical character possible. As a result of that, it's found that 'body-converting phase', that is an exchange possibility, on the basis of a mythical thought, has been realized. These results of study can be summarized as follows; First, even though each piece of 『Suijeon』 is a short story individually, when putting several pieces together, a mythical thought appears. For example, the foundation of a life is placed on totem culture, a natural world and a human world are forming a mutual reliable relation, and a recognition on basic order of the universe by use of a nature world has appeared. Second, in five pieces, a subject has been changed into an object or an object into a subject. In that a subject and an object get out of its own line each other, it seems that a cultural background of making no distinction between subjects and objects in a foundation of a society, in which these 5 pieces were produced, is clearly in existence; this cultural background can be called a view of symmetrical world. Third, if one calls all conditions related with body-converting as 'an exchange possibility', it can be greatly divided into two types; one such as <Noonghwagu>, <Susapseoknam> and the other such as < Wonkwang>, <Talhae>, <Howon>. While the former type has a noncontinuous(one time) meaning for an exchange possibility, the later one has a continuous meaning. Fourth, a symmetrical view of world for five pieces is realized mainly in the real world. To directly confront the idea of upper structure, they could not help choosing the real world as a space for confrontation. When considering the fact that an exchange possibility after 'the ancient three nations times' was degenerated into a means to meet a grotesque curiosity, we can see how much seriously 『Suijeon』 dealt with realistic problems.
