The purpose of this study is to research the reality criticism and its recovery sense which are materialized in the postwar novels that hold the big part in Korean literature. In order to do execute the research in this study, as the representative writer and novel, Chang Yong-hak was selected after observing the content of the meaning of the postwar novels which are pulled by the various ways to express. The reason why he was selected is that he opened a new literature world which is

Most of all, his intelleelual capability functioned them possibly to obtain the objective viewpoint, and consequently caused the postwar reality to be diagnosed fundamentally. This is proved by the fact that the Korean War was ironically functioned as the abundant material source of the postwar
