Factors acting upon the new writing style and literary revolution of Liang Qi-chao in the mordern China were the necessity of adjusting to new times, to changes towards the modernisation of literary concepts, the need to keep up with a distinctive trend of literaty progressivisim concurrent with the times and its ideologies, the modernized cultures of the Occident and Japan, and demands of Gong-Yang Commentary(公羊學). In short, modern Chinese literature, centering around this literary revolution and new writing style, was an expression adopting and adapting modern western civilization on the basis of Chinese traditions.
New writing style and proses of Liang critically succeeded the old style prose of China and paved the path for a Neo-Chinese literature which could meet the demands of modernisation - it was able to express the political, social, and ideological demands of progressive intellectuals through content and subject matter, and structurally adopted new and advanced popular trends. So new writing style and proses of Liang could continues to have an effect on modern literature.
New writing style and proses of Liang, holds a revolutionary significance to be appreciated, and 'the modern period' which is regarded as a key bridge in the crossing between classical Chinese literature and modern contemporary Chinese literature should be seriously recognized as playing an important role in Chinese literary succession.
