Report Errors

Ventilation characteristics of Volatile Organic Chemicals(VOCs) have been numerically analyzed in an air conditioning space of small-scale painting process. Air flow and toluene concentration have been calculated to investigate local mean age and room mean air age using the step-up method. The results show that higher air change efficiency doesn't necessarily mean that the concentration in a room is lower for complex ventilation system including plural flow inlets and outlets. This means that it is needed to carefully design work spaces to maintain allowable concentration, which may depends on the position of the inlets and outlets and air inflow rates.
