The description of cultural history in Korean history textbook is too flat and dull. The several aspects of the culture of Korean history which recorded too many contents in the limited space are constructed careless.
I would like to suggest how coherent the text of the cultural history constructs in the text structure. The text structure is the way to connect the ideas and thoughts which the author wants to writes. According to text structure, texts have a grade of rank. A grade of rank is determined by author's mind. While main texts which author think important are remembered well by students, subordinate texts are not. Therefore, coherent description- main texts and subordinate texts are constructed and connected properly- is very important for students to understand the texts efficiently.
The results of analysis in text structure is too loosed. The relation between main sentences and subordinate sentences are not smooth.
The cultural history is not learned by heart but appreciated in the relic and historic sites. In addition, Students can look into each periods's life and thought through these cultural works and understand each period's society more correctly and actually. The description of the textbook should get changed. That is to say, the main sentences and subordinate sentences are constructed coherently.
