The study objectives of this paper are:
1) To draw up the hybrid-units energy input-output model needed to estimate energy intensities for the 35 manufacturing sectors.
2) To construct the 1985-1990 Link Input-output Tables on the basis of the hybrid energy model built above, and
3) To calculate each sector’s energy intensity for the Korean manufacturing industry for the years 1975 and 1990 by using the 1975-1980-1985 Link Input-Output Tables and the 1985-1990 Link Input-Output Tables at constant 1985 prices, respectively.
This article has five main sections. Section 2 outlines the two different accounts in energy input-output model, Section 3 constructs the link tables at constant prices and also mentions revaluation and compiling methods of original data. Two sets of energy intensities have been produced by the Link Input-Output Tables at constant prices in chapter 4. In the last chapter 5, I present a brief summary of this paper and concluding remarks.
