Waterfront has been paying attention to as the field of regional development in urban coastal area. Urban development in Pusan city which has insufficient of land can be activated by an effective use of waterfront.
According to results of this study, the development for region, must be appropriately considered in terms of conservation, development, redevelopment, and coincided with regional specific. And it is showed that waterfront-belt for conservation at coastal area and conservation of scene in total urban must be fived.
We have to reconsider entirely the image of Pusan to renew its specific character. Therefore the arrangement of a cultural proportion and the remain of square as a cultural fields are just necessary. Also it is needed special plans for landscape, sightseeing, harbour reconstruction considered specific of waterfront area.
