This study intends to select and evaluate landscape character of environmental friendly agricultural land. For this purpose, ①literature review about ESA, CSS, CTE, MFSP, ACL and OECD indicators, ②field survey about 32 villages and facilities related environmental friendly agriculture and ③questionnaire survey about 516 rural residents and 572 citizens are applied. The results of this study are as follows ; 21 landscape characters of environmental friendly agricultural land(12 natural characters and 9 artificial characters) are drawn including forest, grassland, stream and agriculture waterway around agricultural land, additional facilities(duck house), pavilion, sign about environmental friendly agriculture, stone wall, tree, forest and duck in cultivated land and so on. And then, the results of evaluation about 21 landscape characters are that the score of most landscape characters is relatively high and positive, especially the mean(S. D.) of importance level of rural residents is 3.85/5.0(0.99) and the mean(S. D.) of preference level of citizens is 3.92/5.0(0.92). And rural residents evaluate that the functional landscape characters are important, for example the fence for duck, plastic house and storehouse and citizens prefer to see the visual landscape characters, for example garden, tree and small forest around agricultural land. In addition, rural residents and citizens groups evaluate natural landscape characters are more important or preferred than artificial characters.
