The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of bare feet exercise on body composition and blood lipid profiles of obese female-students in the middle school. the subjects were obese students of J girl's middle school in kyungnam whose body fat was over 30 percent. The subjects were divided into three groups ; an bare feet walking group(n-8), a shoes-walking group(n-8), and a control group(n-8), Both experimental groups were trained for 8 weeks.
The results of this study were as follows;
1. The body weight of the bare feet walking group and shoes-walking group in post test was significantly decreased than that of pre-test.
2. The body fat of the bare feet walking group and shoes-walking group in post test was significantly decreased than that of pre-test.
3. The lean body weight was not significantly different between group and treatment.
4. The concentration of total cholesterol was mt significantly different between group and treatment.
5. The concentration of triglyceride was not significantly different between group and treatment.
6. The concentration of HDL-C was not significantly different between group and treatment.
7. The concentration of LDL-C was not significantly different between group and treatment.
8. There were no interaction in lean body weight, the concentration of total cholesterol, triglyceride, HDL-C, LDL-C between group and treatment.
The conclusion is that bare feet walk and a walk have an partially positive effect on the body composition and blood lipid profiles of obese female-students in middle school.
