The modern church of our age has challenged with the pluralism, empiricism, postmodernism and digital culture, and also has several problems so that the church can be renewed. They are, thereby, confronted the emerging needs for the reconstruction of Christian education. Some people try to find out some solutions to those problems of the church such as identify of Christian Community and Catechesis for catechumen. Catechesis is educational reformation that early church maked an alternative systems as solution of problems.
Along with this line, this paper will describe the formation and process in a Baptizing Community for catechumen. It is a reframing of catechesis as the system of early church so that our modern church can be changed better than now.
First, this paper starts with the relation of baptism and community, such as initiation and identify of Christian that the church gave teaching and ritual. The baptism is to initiate catechumen(candidate) a good news of Jesus and member at Christian community. The meaning of baptism, have clearly the objects of community and identify as Christianity. The baptism is the process of Christian community to candidates, and it is that do it so that may formation the identity.
Therefore, the first topic is focused on formation of in a "Baptizing Community" for catechumen. This is a model for unbatized and baptized in the churches that effect each other. The second topic can maximize effect of faith education through baptizing community, because share each other their life and faith in the church community, everybody can grow and seek change. The third topic, purpose of baptizing community is that candidates be member of Christian community through repentance, revival, and response to calling of God.
Secondly, regarding the possible relationship between baptism and leadership as operate and teaching person, the new paradigm of Christian education encourages us to understand candidates by inquiry. The understanding of candidates leads us to role of leadership team for the catechumenal process and some basics.
Thirdly, regarding presentation of practical planning the "Catechumanl process", it can stand reframing system of the Baptizing Community; First phase is the information gathering for members. Second phase is the group formation and purpose setting. Third phase is the plan development. and last phase is evaluation and replanning.
Even though this paper is to presentation of correlation between baptism and community, plan of baptizing community should be to stems from life of candidate and tradition of Christian community which could widen Catechesis of the early churches more effectively and persuasively. It is a process not program.
