A lot of researches have been done on the general conceptualization of time in Korean, but the time-as-resources metaphor has not yet been clarified specifically. This paper aims to examine the metaphorical conceptualization in more detail, in which time is viewed as resources or money, based on real examples of time collected from a variety of Korean written materials. The metaphor are specifically based on the following six aspects of resources: ① value, ② possession, ③ production and acquisition, ④ consumption and loss, ⑤ economy and management, and ⑥ give-and-take. Time is a valuable thing, one's possession, an object which is produced or acquired, and an object which is consumed or lost. Therefore, time is an object which should be used economically and be managed effectively. In addition, time is also an object we can give and take. However, all the aspects of resources or money are not mapped onto time, but just partial mappings happen between resources or money and time. For example, the ownership resources or money can be turned over to another person, but the ownership of time cannot be turned over. Specifically, resources or money is no longer in a person's control if they are given to another, but time is still in a person's control even after it is given to another. The person which is given a period of time does not have the ownership of the period, but just he is less limited in time when he does something.
