This study is to know minimum Taekwondo training term of elementary school students through positive analysis in order to examine influence between Taekwondo training term and social skill or adaptability on school life. The subject of this study is students in grade 3-6 who are on training in Taekwondo gymnasium around Seoul as of 2009 and have 400 students including 200 boys and 200 girls questionnaire using stratified cluster random sampling. We drive the conclusion as followings by carrying one-way ANOVA to know the relationship between training term and social skill or adaptability on school life.
In case of self-assertion and self-control which are the subordinate concept of social skill, remarkable differences showed according to the training term. Self-assertion shows high figure on longer training term, but self-control shows high figure than other groups with more than 3 years training term. Also remarkable differences are showed on children's friendship, studying and compliance the rules which are the subordinate concept of adaptability on school life. In case of children's friendship and compliance the rules, groupwhich is trained more than 3 years showed high figure than other groups and the more they have long training term, the more they comply the rules well for compliance the rules.
In conclusion, Taekwondo training term is definitely influence on social skill and adaptability on school life. But need to analyze more details for further study as variable elements are not diverse during performing this study. Also need to examine the casual relationship with environmental variable elements regarding school or home by expanding the range of study subject from elementary school students to teenagers.
