The city of Chungju , the center of the Korean peninsula as well as the birthplace of the Jungwon culture is taking off as an unquestionable mecca of world martial arts.
The size of the Chungju World Martial Arts Festival is growing as more countries and organizations participate over the years, and this festival is becoming an entertainment event visited by large numbers of foreign and local tourists and martial arts masters of the world as well.
With the theme, "A union of 5000 years of Korean Spirit and World martial arts".
Festivities begin with an exciting street parade and many other events prepared for visitors such as the grand opening ceremony, traditional martial arts demonstration 'which will be shown by the 55 teams from 6 continents of the world, martial arts weapons exhibition, martial arts film event, folk performance and many other cultural performances.
So this study aim to research of the participation motives of the Chungju World Martial Arts Festival which are held by Chungju.
