이 논문은 이종 데이터베이스의 의미론적 결합에 이용되는 2 단계 계층적 밀집과 자기조직화 맵을 가진 집괴적 밀집의 새로운 밀집기술을 제안한다. 2 단계 밀집은 자동적으로 다발의 수를 계산하고 자기조직화 맵의 밀집 결과를 개선한다. 데이터베이스 스키마와 레코드로부터 입력범위를 산출하기 위하여 밀집화전에 데이터 전처리가 수행된다. 밀집화 결과는 자기조직화 맵을 가진 2단 밀집화를 이용하여 크게 개선되었으며, 이는 이종 데이터 소스로부터 데이터베이스의 특징들이 좀 더 엄밀하게 유사해졌음을 보여준다.
