After Saemaul Undong (New Village Movement), our society has been concerned problems about dwelling quality as well as dwelling quantity of rural housing. In case of Yesan-gun, this study arranged architectural characteristic of units and analyzed a characteristic of contemporary residential satisfaction through dweller survey.
For the purposes, this study was carried out following process. For theoretical consideration, this study inquired into the characteristic of rural dwelling environment and the public works of our government and society. For case study, this study selects an example of rural housing that is 「Yesan Modernized Model Village」. With this, it carried out comparative analysis with the ‘95 Standard Plan Drift for Farming & Fishing Village Housing. According to dweller survey, this study surveyed general characteristics of dwellers and analyzed residential satisfaction and requirement.
In spite of it's location, the farm households that are engaging in agriculture were less than nonagricultural households. And the application ratio of ‘95 Standard Plan Drift was low relatively. Also, improvement intention for residential satisfaction centered on consumable elements and outside space.
