‘Dasom Valley’ is a clonal selection resulting from a cross between ‘Superior’ and ‘ND860-2’. It has medium plant height, light green foliage and early to medium maturity. It has profuse flowering habit and white flowers. Tubers are smooth, round shape, white skin color, creamy yellow flesh, medium eye depth and medium dormancy. It has high level of tuber uniformity and good keeping quality. ‘Dasom Valley’ is resistant to late blight, potato virus Y (PVY) and drought, but moderately resistant to common scab. It is also resistant to most of the internal and external physiological disorders, particularly hollow heart, internal brown spot and cracking. Tubers are resistant to rotting during harvesting at raining season. The specific gravity of ‘Dasom Valley’ is higher (1.085) than the ‘Superior’ (1.065). ‘Dasom Valley’ is capable of yielding 45.7 t?ha-1, which is 29.1% higher to the control potato cultivar ‘Superior’ under optimum agronomical practices.
