Reflected on the fundamental ideology that "All of art is unified to architecture", Bauhaus in the early 20th century attempted to associate typography, as fundamentals for visual communication, with architectural forming. This study attempts to investigate the relationship between architecture and typography throughout history, to interpret architectural plasticity from the viewpoint of typographic forms, and to explore the possibility of constituting an educational program for architectural form-making by using typography. The argument is focused on the process of making new forms through an interaction of architecture and typography, which has been already experimented by avant-garde artists in early 20th century and on the correlation between modern architecture and typography.
