Diagrid structural system is receiving attention for it's high efficiency of lateral resistance. Design of diagrid node is very important because of it's characteristic, but none of related studies are conducted. In this study, details of box-brace diagrid nodes were proposed and were tested to find out their structural behavior. Tensile force was applied to one diagrid brace member and compression force was applied to the other brace member while the forces were increased. Welding properties, which are not easy to know by analytical studies, are one of the test parameters. The other parameter is design details to find out structural performance. The major failure is due to extra moment that are occurred by the two combined axial forces that have different directions. Specimens that use partial penetration welding have lower energy absorbtion than that of full penetration welding. Specimens that have longer horizontal stiffener showed higer yielding strength and initial stiffness.
