본 연구는 효율적 U-City 정보관리 방안을 마련하기 위한 사전연구로서 U-City 정보와 관련한 법ㆍ제도를 검토하여 정보관리 방향을 제시하는 것이다. 이를 위해서 공간정보, 행정정보, 센서정보 등과 관련한 법ㆍ제도를 검토하여 시사점과 관리방향을 제시하였다. 법ㆍ제도적인 측면에서 U-City 정보관리 방향은 첫째 센서정보의 통합적 관리를 위한 제도마련, 둘째 U-City 정보관리 단계인 생산, 수집, 가공, 활용 등 단계별 기준마련, 셋째 다양한 정보의 융ㆍ복합을 위한 기준마련, 넷째 U-City 정보를 생산ㆍ관리하고 있는 다양한 부처 및 기관의 역할분담과 지원이다.
