Book paper color, emblem cloths color and spectroscopic analysis of restoration cover design textile of 20 Jang Seo Gag royal family books(Joseon Dynasty) of The Academy of Korea Studies.
For the calculation of traditional books, more systematic calculation of data is required to uphold and restore insufficient actual condition and the old books.
The study is based on the colors which are able to be analyzed within the limits of having no influence on books because it is currently impossible to analyze the properties of matter in detail.
In consequence of this study, we formed a conclusion as below :
The materials of production form of traditional paper for restoring original form is insufficient.
The range of color change of korean paper(Han Gi) is not extremely changed even for a long period.
Currently, there is also possibility of restoration of book paper color and cover design textile color.
For the restoration of original form, dual production for the method of paper production in a modern style and pure traditional method of paper production is required.
For the color analysis, by using new technological equipment rather than rough calculation, preservation of data, which can be restored by anyone in original form by data in the future through calculation for analysis of properties of matters and data preservation, is required.
The main causes of color change are the variables such as the original source, state of treatment of the production process and state of preservation, but based on analyzed data like those, I wish it would be helpful to the basic data for restoration.
