Because the degree of concentration of national capital region is very serious in Korea compared to other countries, we must establish enthusiastic plans to ease up interzonal development gap.
Gangwon province has small gross regional domestic product and get behind in mining and manufacturing industries. But Gangwon province has various tourism attractions. So we must develop regional economy by tourism industry and eco-friendly tourism development must be sustainable.
Tourism development plan of Gangwon province east coast is divided into the development of Seorak area, ocean tourism and Taebaek area. And it is possible that value added is made by the promotion of the plan which includes the consideration of regional features.
Especially the promotion of deep sea water must minimize overlapping investment among local governments and it is expected to vitalize regional economy through development of food and beverage and tourism commercialization.
The ocean tourism of east coast should be systematized and be ready for the increase of marine tourism demand.
And interchange among the area of east coast will be more easy by the improvement of traffic condition like road, rail, and harbors.
