In this report, we tried to orient the ways to overcome labor conflicts by analyzing recently issued labor-related laws.
Chapter 1 includes the present situation of labor conflicts, the transition of labor-management relations in Korea, and the background needs for the new labor-management relations. Globalization and the other changing environments are reviewed as the driving force for the new labor relations.
The first part of Chapter 2 reviews the transition of labor policy by Korean governments. In the latter part, the major important issues in the amendment for the labor related laws during
1997-98 are thoroughly analyzed.
In Chapter 3, the desirable ways to settle down disputes on the three labor related laws(Civic service union law, Teachers' union law, Non full-time laborers' law) which are on hot issue this year are analyzed in comparison with the cases in other nations.
Chapter 4 concludes the report with the demanding factors for the subjects of our economy.
