As economic development has given rise to improvements in the standard of living and markets have become more globalized, the demands of consumers and their perceptions of value have undergone an accordant transformation. In order to meet consumers' desires and expectations, a differentiated form of brand identity is urgently needed. As such, differentiated design ideas and more original forms of expressions should be developed. One such concept is "Trompe I'oeil'', a creative representation of artistic style Which has continuously influenced contemporary fashion and played joyful tricks with the tactful imagination.
One of purposes in the study is to apply the Trompe L'oeil technique to a practical function Wherein a person wears two cloths, one over the other, thereby giving off the effect of an optical illusion through the combination of the layered items and a unique form of cutting. The intent is to suggest products which are based on market demands and are thus likely to be sold through sales planning. Toward that end, the concept and background of Trompe I'oeil were examined in tandem with an analysis of cases in which "Layering" is employed in contemporary fashion design. The study also considers the appeal of emotional factors with attention to brand concepts in oder to launch a new brand of women's clothing.
According to the findings, the effect of a type of clothing that provides the illusion of wearing several kinds of clothes provides a fun optical trick which also makes people comfortable. Such a product can be expressed in terms of practicality, combining fashionable and functional elements.
In addition, Trompe L'oeil, in its application of layering, broadens the scope of new expression and presents creative ideas by thinking "outside of the box" As a result, this study demonstrates the increasing appeal of a high emotional brand value.
