This paper intended to examine the aspect of the translation of the detective novels in the Japanese colonial period. I tried to arrange the bibliography of the translation detective novels concentrating on Morris Leblanc. Morris Leblanc's detective novels had been translated the most from the Japanese colonial period to the 1950's. Why had been Morris Leblanc's detective novels chosen the most in the Japanese colonial period.
This paper tried to concentrate on the history of a novelist of Morris Leblanc. The method is to ponder on 'connectivity' according to the change of time. getting out of the bibliography of the translation of individual works. To take note especially is the title according to the change of time and translator. The titles of a novel adaptation of Morris Leblanc signify the aspect of domestic people' acception of Morris Leblanc novels.
