We developed a compiler tool-chain for a commercial 24-bit DSP whose target application domain is audio signal processing. As DSP processor generally does, its specialized architecture introduces many technical issues on building a compiler tool-chain. In this paper, we discuss about several technical issues we had experienced during the development, and explain how we resolved those issues.
