Sport goal orientation is the motivation to achieve a goal in sport. There are two types of goal orientations; task and ego orientation. Sport goal orientation is being valuation basis of success and failure in sports. Purpose of this study is to furnish the data for athletic physical and psychological training of pro golf players. For this study a total of 267 pro golf players took part in the TEOSQ(task and ego orientation sport questionnaire). For the statistical analysis SPSS software program(version 18.0) and Amos 7.0 were utilized to compare the confirmatory factor analysis and latent means between male and female group. A statistical significance was accepted at the level of p<.05. The results were as follows; First, Task and Ego Orientation Sport Questionnaire was verified construct equivalence. Second, Ego orientation of sport goal orientation was higher in the male golf players group on the latent mean analysis, but there was no difference between groups on the ANOVA. In conclusion TEOSQ is available for both sexes identically. A latent mean analysis is a valid method to furnish the accurate information about sport goal orientation of pro golf players. Therefore sport instructors could be utilizing this data for athletic physical and psychological training of pro golf players
