The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship among leisure constraints, the level of leisure participation, and life satisfaction. To achieve the purpose of this study, a convenience sample of people was obtained from 385 university students registered the liberal arts classes from four universities located in Seoul and Kyonggi-do. Descriptive statistics were used to profile the sample. A principle component factor analysis with a varimax rotation was adopted to determine if there were distinct constraint dimensions and the reliability of the factor dimensions was computed through the reliability procedure in SPSS PC+18.0. After checking the correlation coefficients, data then was analyzed by applying multiple regression was conducted. The results are as follows. First, 'structural' constraints factor positively influenced to the level of leisure participation period and intensity, 'lack of awareness in around' constraints factor negatively influenced to the level of leisure participation intensity, and 'shortage of time' constraints factor negatively influenced to the level of leisure participation period and frequency. Second, only the level of leisure participation strength statistically influenced to life satisfaction and this relationship was explained by 13 percent of adjusted R². Third, 'psychology', 'partner', 'lack of awareness in around', and 'shortage of time' statistically negatively influenced to life satisfaction.
