This paper presents a way of securing transfer of voice data between terminals through the use of a complex algorithm, the pseudo-random sequence and addition of XOR bit masking techniques. This research includes the process of encrypting the file from one terminal, transmitting the encrypted file, and decrypting the original file at the intended receiver. Encryption of file was done through the application of pseudo-random sequence that generates a relatively large pattern of sequences for the data. This large pattern of sequences combined with X-OR bit masking method further increases the protection of files. The system is developed using the Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 for its user-friendly attributes. From one terminal, a file will be created, encrypted and then transmitted to the other terminal. The connection of two computers utilizes modems connected through telephone lines. Upon transmission, the file sent is still in the encrypted form and only through the process of decryption will the file be understood.
