The pebbly mudstone formations of the Ogcheon Group are interpreted as tillites of glacial marine origin. Similar tillites are found in late Pre-Cambrian sequences in China and northern Ko1'ea and the Ogcheon tillites thus provide additional evidence of the Pre-Cambrian age of the Ogcheon group.
