Architecture is one representative of culture, Korea and China have had many exchanges during their long history. In particular, courtyard-type housing is shared, which is a typical housing style in Eastern Asian countries. In Korean traditional housing, there are many similarities in space properties because of Chinese influence in spite of cultural differences. At the same time, when Korean traditional courtyard-type housing is compared with Beging Siheuan housing, unique characteristics have also been found.
We need more comprehensive comparison research between Korean and Chinese traditional housing, despite the results of domestic studies. This research is to discover the differences, similarities, and clarify the distinctive characteristics between Korean and Chinese traditional housing
