A new, commercially available polishing process called magnetorheological fluid is used to fabrication conformal and optical glass. MR Jet polishing process guarantees high polishing quality by controlling the jet of MR fluid and abrasive mixture. For MR Jet polishing experiments, The MR fluids consist of DI water based carbonyl iron (CI), nonmagnetic polishing abrasives, and necessary stabilizers.
