This study examines the influence of learning participation style upon character building and social attitude targeting Judo majors. Thus, the aim is to offer basic data for vitalizing Judo.
To achieve specific objective on this, it established the learning participation style as independent variable and established character building and social attitude as dependent variables. Especially, it selected students, who are participating in Judo as major lesson at 4-year universities in Seoul and Gyeonggi area as of 2010, as the population, and then extracted 216 students’ materials by using Judgmental Sampling out of non-probability sampling method. The following conclusions were elicited by using SPSS 17.0.
First, as for the learning participation style, the obligational type in the social aspect of character building was indicated to have positive(+) effect. Seriousness type(β=.056) and avoidance type(β=.062) were indicated to have no influence. Also, in the emotional aspect, the obligation type(β=.383) was indicated to have positive(+) effect. Avoidance type(β=-.259) was indicated to have negative(-) influence. Seriousness type(β=.032) was indicated to have no influence. And, in the aspect of the living attitude, the obligation type(β=.305) was indicated to have positive(+) effect. Avoidance type(β--.364) was indicated to have negative(-) influence. Seriousness type(β=.001) was indicated to have no influence.
Second, as for the learning participation style, the seriousness type(β=-.410) was indicated to have negative(-) influence in the social and emotional aspect of social attitude. Obligation type(β=-.017) and avoidance type(β=-.089) were indicated to have no influence. Also, in socialization, the obligation type(β=.410) was indicated to have positive(+) effect. Seriousness type(β=.053) and avoidance type(β=.159) were indicated to have no influence.
This And, in the socially-integrated aspect, the obligation type(β=.363) was indicated to have positive(+) effect. Seriousness type(β=.049) and avoidance type(β=-.077) were indicated to have no influence. Especially, in the socially-controlled aspect, the seriousness type(β=-.190) and avoidance type(β=-.263) in order were indicated to have negative(-) influence. Obligation type(β=.132) was indicated to have no influence.
Third, as for character building, the emotional(β=.274) and living attitude(β=.237) in order were indicated to have positive(+) effect in the social attitude. Social(β=-.038) was indicated to have no influence. Also, in socialization, the social (β=.475) was indicated to have positive(+) effect. The emotional(β=.122) and living attitude(β=.074) were indicated to have no influence. And, in the socially-integrated aspect, the living attitude(β=.231) and emotional (β.193) in order were indicated to have positive(+) effect. Social(β=.056) was indicated to have no influence. Especially, in the socially-controlled aspect, the living attitude(β=.327) was indicated to have positive(-) effect. Social(β.156) and emotional(β=-.002) were indicated to have no influence.
