The purpose of this paper is to estimate the importances and economic impacts of tourism industry through the comparative analysing in 6 areas(Capital area, Gangwon area, Choongcheong area, Jeonla area, Gyeongbuk area, Gyeongnam area) by Bank of Korea(2007). For this, based on the regional I-O transactions tables of 6 areas, tourism multipliers were derived with respect to output, income, value-added and employment, and coefficients were derived. The result of the analysis of the tourism multiplier of the 6 areas indicates that the most of multipliers of tourism industries in Gangwon area is above the mean value of the other area’s tourism industries. And the influence coefficient of the overall Restaurants, Culture & recreation & Transportation/ Communication was estimated above ‘1’, on the other side, the sensitivity coefficients of the overall Hotels, Culture & recreation & Transportation/ Communication was estimated under ‘1’.
