This is a paper on designing a model of Korean poetry education by using the method of Poetry therapy to help activate Married Immigrants’ emotional expressions. With recent increase in the number of female marriage immigrants, much research of korean education for the has been undertaken in terms of speaking and listening skills for survival so far. Since not so much previous studies about teaching Korean Literature for them has been conducted, there is a need to further development of research not only teaching functional language skills but also let them understand Korean Poetry and help them express emotional feelings for their important role especially as a person in charge of raising their children. To apply poetry to practical treatment, several premises for Married Immigrants such as follows are required. First, participants in the class can use and memo in there mother language. It is important to grasp their true feeling not to write grammaicaly correct in Korean. Second, therapist should be aware of participants’ certain circumstances hence be able to choose a right piece of work as a ‘catalyst’ to inspire an individual’s memories and emotions. Third, choosing the piece of work should be proper to understand the style at ease. That is, linguistic and cognitive abilities of the subjects are understandable to them.
