The purpose of this article is to examine the Countermeasures against Risks arising from Diversification of Trade. Diversification of trade condition lately is due to collapse of boundaries between markets, results of growth in service trade, technology trade, the emissions trading scheme and introduction of fusion products by convergence of industries. Furthermore, with ever-increasing changes in global trade environment, concept of trade has extended and there is a need for a new paradigm of trade promotion. There are great changes of trade condition through these trends and new forms of transactions are continuously increasing. In this circumstances, since new types of risks may well incur, it is necessary to formulate plans to cover these risks. Predictable risks arose from the diversification of trade environment are risks concerned with global compliance, supply chain security and environmental regulations.
The purpose of this article is to set extended concept of trade and propose new types of transaction forms focusing on traditional trade and convergence trade. Also it will consider on risks which could arise from new forms of transaction and measures to handle them. This article may make difference from previous studies by proposing the concept of convergence trade and categorizing various types of convergence trade incurring these days.
