The purpose of this study was to develop an success attribution scale of Taekwondo instructors. In order to attain the purpose of this study, the factors which formed the success attribution of Taekwondo instructor were collected and an inductive content analysis was executed through conducting an interview and open survey for 260 Taekwondo instructors. As the result, 78 items of Taekwondo instructor’s success attribution were adopted. Based on such generalized Taekwondo instructor success attribution, the questions were developed. Through modifying the questions twice, 29 questions about 6 factors of Taekwondo instructor’s success attribution were determined. Taekwondo instructor's attribution scale was finally developed through the internal structure review phase and the external relation review phase by conducting the questionnaire survey for 1,300 Taekwondo instructors with the developed scale. First inductive analysis was used to categorize law data and deductive analysis was used by SPSS 18,0 for Windows & LISREL 8,80 such as descriptive analysis, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, reliability, ANOVA and correlation analysis. As the result, the following conclusions were derived.
First, the success attribution was generalized with the coaching ability, internal factor, effort, instructor’s circumstances & environment, martial spirit and moral education. Second, the success attribution is appropriate in the Taekwondo instructor’s attribution scale. Third, the external criteria are proper in the Taekwondo instructor’s success attribution scale. Accordingly, the success attribution scale of Taekwondo instructor generalized in this study was composed of 29 questions of 6 success attribution factors. Also, it was confirmed that it could be applicable in the field.
