Casino industry has recently faced a new trend, a casino integrated resort. Singapore opened two casino integrated resorts, Marina Bay Sands casino and world Resort Sentosa Casino, in 2010, so that they are supposed to record U.S $ 6 billions in 2011. That is tremendous because Singapore is one of the strictest nations in the world.
This study examines the feasibility of whether a casino only for tourists will be built up in Saemangeum area and suggests the pre-conditions of introducing that. The study strongly insists on the pre-conditions: introduction of integrated resort including a casino, economic aspect, attraction for the Chinese, strong regulation, amendment to Saemangeum Special Law, and introduction of Green Casino. In addition, there are important factors for a casino only for tourists, which are foreign funds to develop a casino integrated resort and cultivation of skilled casino dealers.
As a result, it is time to introduce a casino integrated resort because Koreans themselves are ready to select a type of casino and cannot avoid the economic value of a casino only for tourists anymore.
