This paper is designed to examine grammatical differences between the first-edition and the revised-edition of Dusi-Eonhae. Dusi-Eonhae that were printed in 1481 for the first time is one of the important references in the Middle Korean. Meanwhile, Dusi-Eonhae that were revised partially in 1632 is one of the important references in the Modern Korean.
It has been considered so far that the linguistic differences between the first-edition and the revised-edition of Dusi-Eonhae were highly significant between the middle ages and modern ages in Korean. Therefore, this paper focused on changes of grammatical characteristics among significant linguistic differences that were showed in the first-edition and the revised-edition of Dusi-Eonhae.
As a result, some of facts that were revealed in the revised-edition of Dusi-Eonhae is as in the following. Firstly, forms that several of postpositional particles had taken changed. Plus functions that several of postpositional particles had performed disappeared. Secondly, some of types of which verb had inflected were changed. Plus forms that several of inflectional pre-endings and connective endings had taken were changed or replaced with another forms. Thirdly, some of derivational suffixes and expressions integrated grammatically made change in form.
