The purpose of this study is to seek feasible plans for the revitalization of civic participation in landscape planning. In order to reach this goal, the research is conducted a review of the previous studies, conducted surveys to officials who are in charge of landscape planning, and induced plan items for the revitalization of civic participation that are feasible in establishing the landscaping plans. The results of the study are as follows: 1) In the "Basic Research" step, it is necessary to hold preliminary presentations for citizens, offer training for citizens to induce their interest and participation in the plan, and so on. 2) In the "Planning" step, it is necessary to simplify the citizen"s suggestion procedure and to actively share the major agendas of the plan. 3) In the "Public Hearing" step, it is necessary to vary the notification methods of the hearing, expand the participation parties, and so on. 4) In the "Deliberations of the Landscaping Committee of the Local Government" step, it is necessary to grant actual decision-making rights to the committee, announce the agendas beforehand, and so on. 5) In the "Hearing Opinions from the Local Council" step, systematical instruments to secure the local council"s autonomy need to be prepared. 6) In the "Notification . Public Access" step, it is necessary to vary the notification and promotion methods, and so on.
