The purpose of this study was to survey people with disabilities who live in Daegu city on their need and demand for Assistive Technology Service and to present an essential groundwork for the development of community based assistive technology center.
The survey have carried out from August 2009 through September. And 200 had participated in survey, 113 of available data were analyzed.
In consequence of this study, 84% of respondents knew assistive technology, 86.7% of respondents intended to use service from community based assistive technology center and most of people with disabilities had great expectation. And 54% of respondents pointed the downtown area which is easily accessible as most suitable place for further assistive technology service center.

The result of this study is expected to be used as an groundwork for decision of scale, devise of plan and management of further community based assistive technology service center.
