This paper investigates the educational potency of Christian practices in general and ritual practices in particular often performed in a congregation. The in-depth analysis on the basic definition of "what practice is" provides various pedagogical structures and their educational efficacies intrinsic to Christian (ritual) practices. As the participants engage in various forms of practices, they also encounter the two central dynamics of educational process-namely socialization and transformation process. These two educational dynamics are interwoven within the nexus of formational process which both form and reform the core sense of congregational identity. In this article, the pedagogical implications and the centrality of Christian practice are correlated with the various ways in which the core sense of congregational identity is communicated selectively through various forms of congregational practices.
